(More customer reviews)I recently relocated to a foothill town NE of San Diego and at 3500' we had a recent cold snap.My forced air unit needed repairs and, awaiting a part, I was in need of a small portable unit to heat the room(s) I was in at the time.Unfortunately, Amazon was out of the best of this type (Pelonis Classic 4 disc).I ordered the Polonis, but while it is on b/o I sent away for the Optimus thinking it would do the job.Essentially, if I ordered 4 of them they might.

Optimus is a well known, at one time euro brand, of small stove technology.I have several of their backpacking models and have found them to be very well made, efficient and reliable.This particular ceramic heater is OK but not up to my expectations.The good news is that it works, appears to be well made and is suitably compact.The bad news is that it's very limited in it's ability to heat anything more than a small office cubicle.It that's your need then I'd recommend it.But if you're trying to take the chill out of a small living room (like me) it's marginal at best.The Pelonis units are far more efficient and well worth the extra $$.
